What is a Tile Trim?
Tile trims are used to protect the exposed edges of a ceramic or porcelain tile. They provide a perfect finished and professional look, all whilst preserving the tile edges against any damage. By covering sharp edges, tile trims are also a safety measure and reduce the risk of injury on windows and along staircases.
Where should you use Movement Joints?
Movement Joints must be installed in certain areas and positions to prevent tiles debonding from the Substrate, industry guidelines suggest that the maximum field should be no more than 10m in each direction but in practice, depending on the individual applications it tends to between 5-8m.
Movement Joints must be installed directly above any changes in substrate or movement joints/Gaps in the substrate.
