The Arabic Shower is also called a “Shatafa” or “Shattaf” and this is the Middle East version of a bidet. It is also called a bidet shower, hygiene spray or spray bidet in Europe and Africa.
The purpose of a shattaf kit is to clean your intimate areas after going the bathroom instead of using toilet paper.
A ceramic bidet looks like a regular toilet, the difference is that it a tap at one end. You turn the tap on, sit over it after going to the bathroom and wash yourself.
Why Do I Need An Angle Valve?
You need an angle valve with a arabic shower or shattaf for water shut-off and control.
It acts as an isolation valve that connects the water supply to the shattaf, allowing you to turn the water on or off for that specific arabic shower without affecting the entire water supply in your Kenya home. This makes repairs, maintenance and emergencies easy and very convenient.
In some cases, the angle valve can also act as a pressure regulator. If the water pressure is too high, you can adjust the angle valve to half open to reduce the flow going into the Arabic shower.
