What is the difference between a deck-mounted and a wall-mounted kitchen sink mixer?

The tap sits on top of the surface, with hot and cold water pipes connected through holes in the sink or worktop. For such installations, the water outlet is usually positioned on the wall below the counter level.
A wall-mounted kitchen sink mixer, on the other hand, is installed onto the wall above the sink. The water pipes come through the wall above the counter rather than below the kitchen counter.
